Our Adventure season runs the end of August thru September!
Arrival
- Guests arrive a day early into Cordova on Alaska Air flight 61 or 66
- We provide airport shuttle to your lodging in Cordova
- Guests are responsible for their own lodging while in Cordova but we have reserved rooms to ensure availability
- Float plane will depart for camp the following morning (weather depending)
Luxury Yacht based lodging
- Location! Location! Location! We park both of Our yachts in the calm waters of the Berring River so you have don’t have to worry about getting seasick
- Each yacht has enough berths for 8 guests, a plus parties wanting to cash in on our big group discount
- M/V Northern Explorer is equipped with 4 separate staterooms with their own private bathrooms/showers
- M/V Sound Choice is equipped with 3 staterooms and two bathrooms
- Multiple chest freezers to preserve your catch
- Fire pit and camp chairs on the beach for sunsets
- Gas fire ring onboard the M/V Northern Explorer
- Hot Tub on the top deck to relax after a fun day on the water!
Meals
- While onboard, We don’t skimp on the food bill
- With a fully operational kitchen, guests will enjoy home cooked meals that we’ve spent years perfecting!
- Grab yourself a cup of fresh brewed coffee and enjoy your million dollar view!
- Guests will have a large selection of breakfast options to chose from as it’s the most important meal of the day!
- We pack lunches for our clients everyday, and have options for hot lunches and beverages while up the rivers
- Enjoy an unlimited assortment of snacks and cold/ hot beverages
- We will even cook your catch a half dozen ways and teach you the recipes

Activities
- Each yacht is equipped with at least 2 riverboats and experienced guides
- Guide to client ratio typically 1:3
- There’s more than one way to catch a fish! Try your hand at fly fishing, spinner rod, or using bait.
- The salmon fishing is INSANE!!! Groups were limiting out in 20 minutes… 20 minutes!!!
- When we first started offering saltwater trips we had no idea they were going to be this amazing! We found an amazing untouched spot only 38 minutes from camp.
- Monster ling cod and black bass limits every trip in 2024! We had 4 and 5 hook-ups on a time
- Many halibut trips had double hook-ups
- Our boats run upriver in pairs to ensure Our guests safety is a top priority
- Freshwater limit of 3 coho per day
- Saltwater Fishing for colorful, delicious rockfish, giant ling cod, and Halibut!
- Saltwater limits are 2 halibut, 1 ling cod over 35 inches, and 3 rockfish
- Dolly Varden, cutthroat and rainbow trout fishing must be done before chasing coho as they will also bite trout gear.
- Catch and release must be done with barbless hook and before retaining your limit.
- Since fishing is so amazing we suggest those who want to stretch their trips length out to use a fly rod and barbless hook.
- Coho are aggressive feeders and swallow hooks regularly resulting in their mortality.
- Sustainability is a top priority at AK Forever Wild Outfitters, we don’t want to release fish that won’t survive.

Departure
- Guests will fly out on the same float plane they came in on (weather depending)
- What separates us from other outfits besides price is we include saltwater combo trips in Our packages!
- Most 5 day trips leave with 2 boxes of fish(almost a box just from saltwater)
- If all your fish doesn’t fit on the float plane ride home, we will run it back to Cordova on a vessel at our convenience and ship it to your address for $50 per booking plus shipper rates.
- Once back in Cordova, guests should have enough time to take either flight home.
